She presented the "Self Injury and Warning Signs" workshop. ____________________________________________________________________ Here’s what the attendees have to say about the workshops they attended: "I greatly enjoyed all of the information and new activity ideas I received from attending the “A Nanny's Day ~ The Professional Way!” workshop. It motivated me to want to maintain a regular theme and project schedule with my charges. Keeping a profile of your charges day is an excellent idea too, since most of the time my employers are focused on the children when they return home and they can view the items at their leisure. All of the handouts from the “Breastfed Baby” workshop are very helpful especially since that is a topic that is not often discussed with nannies. I learned so much about self mutilation in the “Self Injury ~ Warning Signs” workshop because that is a topic not frequently discussed. It is one of those things that most people assume will never happen until you are in the situation. I feel very prepared now if I ever need to recognize a problem in a child. Thanks for a really enjoyable and interesting day!" Dani L. ~ Professional Career Nanny in NJ Nanny Alliance of NY & NJ Member since May 2007 "Once again Nanny Alliance of NY & NJ has outdone themselves! The Nanny Seminar on Sunday, March 30th was another wonderful event. Lunch was great. It was fun to catch up with old friends and see new faces. The topics during the seminar were diverse and interesting and even though 2 of the 3 did not directly relate to my current position, I enjoyed learning about new things and listening to the discussions they created. I was also able to make new contacts and learn new things about the nanny industry. I would definitely encourage more to attend. I think the educational component of the group is one of it's major strengths." Laurin G. ~ Professional Career Nanny in CT Nanny Alliance of NY & NJ Member since May 2007 "Thanks for putting together such a fun seminar. I love having the opportunity to learn more about certain topics, and also discussing everyday issues that come up for all of us as a nanny. I particularly enjoyed Kristin's workshop on scheduling a Nanny’s Day ~ The Professional Way. She had some great ideas for art projects to do with our charges. It inspired me to become a little more creative in our daily activities. I'm on my way to beating the afternoon doldrums! I was so happy to win the INA membership in the raffle. Actually all of the prizes were great. It's so nice of you to include a raffle at our meetings. I'm sure you do a lot of work to get together prizes. Thanks for your hard work." Nina M. ~ Professional Career Nanny in CT Nanny Alliance of NY & NJ Member since Aug. 2007 "It was an interesting day. "The Breast Fed Baby "workshop was very interesting, so much so, that it has inspired me to now work on getting back into the Infant Care Specialist field. Thanks for setting up this seminar. I look forward to seeing you all again." Rebecca F. ~ Nanny in NJ Nanny Alliance of NY & NJ Member since May 2007 I learned so much today, even about topics I thought I was well informed on. The speakers were outstanding and I want to thank them all for their time and knowledge. I also wanted to thank Andrea for putting this all together. As we all know, Andrea doesn't do anything half way. She puts her all into everything she does and this seminar was a perfect example. As I looked at the "Thank you" page, I thought how she even follows up on things with her whole heart. Thank you Andrea for being such a great example of a "supernanny" . When people look at our website, thanks to Andrea and Erin, we really do shine! Denise B. ~ Professional Nanny in NJ Nanny Alliance of NY and NJ Member since May 2007 |
